Bring your questions about the city and its government and your ideas for making the city even better to Mayor Wayne Powell's Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, October 30 beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Joslyn Community Center.

"Meet the City of Manhattan Beach: Everything You Want to Know About City Government" is the meeting's theme. Attendees will learn how the city operates to provide important city services and keep residents safe.

City Manager Mark Danaj, Police Chief Eve R. Irvine, Fire Chief Bob Espinosa, Finance Director Bruce Moe, Community Development Director Richard Thompson, Parks & Recreation Director Mark Leyman, and Public Works Director Tony Olmos will hold a question and answer session to "discuss important municipal and safety services; exciting recreation programs for families, youth and older adults; and how Manhattan Beach has successfully maintained excellent financial standing, with a balanced budget and economic reserves," according to new City Manager Danaj, whose first day of work was July 6.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to speak one-on-one with Manhattan Beach officials during an informal session.

"Open communication and transparent government is very important," says Mayor Powell. "Make a difference!"
