Rock the Vote, Manhattan Beach

Nov 08, 2022 09:31AM ● By Jeanne Fratello

The Joslyn Center in Manhattan Beach is one of the city's in-person voting centers.

Manhattan Beach, here's your chance to have a say, use your voice, and show that you care. If you haven't voted already, today's the day.

Reminder #1: You can find the candidates for the City Council and MBUSD school board (and their respective web sites) here. You can also find more information about Measure MB and Measure V here.

Reminder #2: Your vote counts! Remember that in the 2020 city election, a City Council seat was decided by only 88 votes, and a school board seat was decided by only 309 votes.

Reminder #3: We might not know the final results for a week or more. In the 2020 city election, the results were not finalized until November 30 (!).

Manhattan Beach Voting Information

Voting centers are open, rain or shine, until 8:00 p.m.

Vote centers in Manhattan Beach are at Joslyn Community Center Auditorium (1601 N. Valley Drive) and at Manhattan Beach Community Center Auditorium (1600 Manhattan Beach Blvd.) You can vote in a booth at these locations, and you can also drop off a ballot here if you filled it in at home.

(Note that although there was a water issue early this morning due to a blocked drain, the issue has been fixed and Joslyn is fully open for voting.)

Ballot boxes for ballot drop-off are located at Manhattan Beach Library (1320 Highland Ave.), and at Manhattan Beach Art Center (1560 Manhattan Beach Blvd.).

Mail-in ballots must be postmarked by today, November 8, and received within 7 days.

Manhattan Beach Voting Results

Election results will be posted to LA County Election Results Page page after 8:00 p.m. tonight and will be continuously updated as the county completes their official count.

You can also watch a livestream at the LA County Official Video Stream (currently showing workers counting ballots at the county's vote by mail operations center.)

Rock the vote, Manhattan Beach!
