Got a great photo of a Manhattan Beach park? Now's the time to enter your best shot in the Manhattan Beach Parks and Rec's parks photo contest.

From now through July 31, community members are encouraged to submit photographs from any of the city's parks, including:

Veterans Parkway
Live Oak Park
Manhattan Heights Park
Marine Avenue Park
Polliwog Park
Sand Dune Park
Bruce’s Beach Park
8th Street Parkette
Larsson Street Parkette
Manhattan Village Park

Submissions should be sent to the city’s website at www.manhattanbeach.gov/photocontest

All entries should include entry name, entrant’s name, phone, email, where the photo was taken, and consent for photo to be used by the city on its website, social and other channels.

The photo contest is open to anyone living, working, or playing in Manhattan Beach. Entries are limited to five photo submissions per person.

A panel of local professionals and dignitaries will select top submissions for awards and promotion on the city’s social media channels and website. Select submissions will be awarded prizes including Manhattan Beach gear.

The photo contest is being held in July to celebrate National Parks and Recreation Month and the vital role that parks play in bringing people together, providing essential services and fostering the growth of the community.

The project was conceived by student Parks and Rec Commissioner Daniel Greenberg, who is interested in photography and regularly shoots images of birds in Manhattan Beach parks.
