Get ready for your newest donut and coffee fix... The new Dunkin' is opening in Manhattan Beach on Thursday.

The shop is located in the Kinecta complex at the corner of Sepulveda and Manhattan Beach Blvd. An official ribbon cutting with the Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce and local dignitaries is scheduled for 10:00 a.m.

The Manhattan Beach Dunkin' is currently featuring 23 varieties of donuts and four varieties of Munchkins (donut holes).

Owner Dave Lee told MB News that his franchise group owns 10 Dunkin's from Orange County all the way up to Kern County, but that this was their first location in the South Bay. 

Since he had formerly lived in Redondo Beach, Lee said that opening a store in the South Bay was "kind of a homecoming in some ways."

"Redondo Beach has a very close-knit community, and I'm definitely noticing that here as well," he said. "We're excited for this new territory."

What's different about this Dunkin' from Lee's other stores - and from most other Dunkin's - is that this location does not have a drive-through. 

However, Lee said, the team was going to be rolling out a "Cup to Car" program, where an employee will be stationed outside the shop between 6:00 and 11:00 a.m. on Mondays through Fridays. If you are part of the Perks program and pay for your order through the Dunkin' app ahead of time, you can get your order from the team member without having to get out of your car.

In addition to Dunkin', the Kinecta complex houses Ike's Love and Sandwiches and a veterinary clinic. The lot had been vacant for 15 years before Kinecta developed the complex.

Dunkin’, founded in 1950, is the largest coffee and donuts brand in the United States, with more than 13,200 restaurants in nearly 40 global markets. Formerly known (at least to those of us from the East Coast) as Dunkin' Donuts, it has amassed a cult-like following of devotees.
