A beachside landmark in Manhattan Beach since 1991, BREWCO is popular with visitors and locals alike.

Last month, BREWCO had announced its intention to close its doors for a full-scale renovation and transformation into an upscale tavern, with plans to reopen in early 2024. The announcement was met with dismay by many loyal BREWCO customers.

After consideration and discussions with the patrons who have supported BREWCO throughout the years, the owners have decided to reverse their earlier decision and remain open.

The Zislis Group released the following statement on Friday afternoon:

"BREWCO's journey has been one of innovation and community, offering Manhattan Beach’s first brewpub when it opened as Manhattan Beach Brewing Company in 1991 and now one that has an extensive selection of craft beers, a mouthwatering gastropub menu, and a renowned whiskey library. With 48 unique rotating taps and over 50 beers available by the bottle, BREWCO has consistently delivered exceptional beverage choices to its patrons.

"The outpouring of support and passion for BREWCO made ownership realize that they didn't want to say goodbye just yet. For now, they are here to stay and continue providing the exceptional craft beers, delicious food, and welcoming atmosphere that we are known for. BREWCO is open and ready to welcome guests."
