Free Trial Parks & Rec Classes Available in July

In honor of Parks and Recreation Month, the City of Manhattan Beach is offering a free trial class during July.
Specific classes are available, with a choice of 30 classes for ages ranging from 1-year-old to 55 and older. Anyone can take a class; simply complete a form, show up to class, and present the form to the instructor. Advance RSVPs are required for a few classes.
The city's Parks and Recreation Department offers some 400 different types of activities this summer, and more than 3,500 have registered for classes so far this summer, said Gina Allen, recreation services manager.
