Fourth of July Fireworks to Light Up the Sky
Jul 03, 2014 08:24AM ● By Mb News StaffManhattan Beach is known for its fireworks but not on the Fourth of July! Instead, fireworks illuminate the night sky in early December, shot off the Manhattan Beach Pier in what has become a treasured event.
And while all fireworks are illegal in Manhattan Beach, including those branded “Safe and Sane,” there are places nearby that put on electrifying fireworks spectacles on July 4th.
The annual fireworks show in El Segundo begins at 9 p.m. on the 4th. Fireworks cap a daylong celebration. Details on the day's activities and fireworks seating are available here.
Fireworks are shot off a barge in Redondo Beach beginning at 9 p.m. Vantage points can be found along the coastllne north and south of the city's pier. Fireworks are also shot off a barge at 9 p.m. in the Main Channel of Marina del Rey.

MB Police want the public to know they will be actively enforcing laws regarding the possession of all types of fireworks, including sparklers, according to a release on Nixle.
