Shade Hotel joins nine other top coastal accommodations in California on Sunset Magazine's Top 10 list.
Shade keeps some pretty impressive company on the list, which includes Post Ranch Inn in Big Sur and Montage in Laguna Beach. Sunset's list covers lodging within close proximity of the state's fabled coastal Highway 1.
Sunset notes the 38-room boutique hotel's "subtle palette of sea tones" and its location a mere three blocks from the beach.
