Sand Spa To Celebrate Grand Opening

Sand Spa, the new spa on Highland Avenue in North Manhattan Beach, will celebrate its grand opening on Saturday, September 20, with a day of special deals and treats.
Owners Gretchen Tiernan and Megan Richardson are "so excited" about all of the goodies they have in store for visitors on Saturday: From 9:00 a.m. until noon, the spa will offer a series of limited-time special deals. Then from noon until 5:00 p.m. the spa will be giving away free Fresh Brothers pizza and drinks (including Sparkling Wine from Bon Affair and free healthy hydration drinks from Liquid IV), as well as treats from Cake Bake Shop. There will also be giveaways for free massages and other special opportunities during the day.
Tiernan and Richardson, both Manhattan Beach residents with many years of experience in the spa industry, are proud to be able to open SandSpa right in their own community. "We are honored to not only have a business here but to be a part of this amazing community," says Tiernan. "It's nice to see familiar faces when we are out grocery shopping or sitting behind the desk at the spa. To us there is no better place to be than in a city where people value what they do, they take pride in supporting local businesses, and actively contribute to making this place everything that it is. It was a no-brainer when the opportunity presented itself to open up a spa here on Highland."
Tiernan and Richardson's goal is to provide a personalized experience for their clients. "At Sand Spa you are going to get exactly what you need. We purposely brought different types of massage therapist and estheticians on to our team so that we have a variety of styles and techniques to offer," says Tiernan. "If the goal of your session was to relieve pain, then we will pair you with someone who is proven to do just that. If you want to be pampered, well, you came to the right place. We also have a handful of treatment enhancements that can be added to any massage or facial -- our signature "Scrub of the Month" has been a hit."
A first-time visitor can expect to have a "stress-free" experience, says Tiernan. "We have a friendly inviting team, comfortable rooms, and a calm environment."
