Manhattan Beach Named Top California Beach

Manhattan Beach has been named No. 4 in a Top 10 Beach list for California beaches posted online by 10Best.com and USA Today Travel Media Group. Hermosa Beach came in at No. 2, with Huntington Beach taking the top spot. Capitola Beach in Santa Cruz beat out MB for the No. 3 spot.
The top spots were determined by an are online poll to name the top 10 beaches in California. Voters could cast votes daily. The contest ended on Monday at 9 a.m. and the top 10 was posted online yesterday.

Beaches in the running went as far south as Coronado and as far north as Ocean Beach in San Francisco. The competition included beaches in San Diego, La Jolla, Encinitas, San Onofre, Laguna Beach, Huntington Beach, Venice, Santa Monica, Santa Barbara, Cambria, Big Sur and Santa Cruz.
The California coast spans 1,264 miles, according to the online post, and is home to more than 100 seaside towns, plenty of evidence as to why our state is a travel destination year after year, season after season.
