Manhattan Beach Little League Senior All-Stars Blast the Competition in Regional Tournament

The Manhattan Beach Little League Senior All-Stars have slammed the competition in the first two games of Regional Tournament play Tuesday and Wednesday nights at Jay Littleton Ball Park in Ontario, CA.
Both games saw the boys whack the ball for runs galore, beating an Oregon team 17-0 Tuesday (July 21) and a Montana team 18-4 Wednesday (July 22).
Against Oregon Tuesday, James Tullio went 1-1 at bat; Nathan Nykaza and Jake Symon each batted 2-2, and Rollie Nichols went 3-3. Carson Phillips and Ty Conrad batted 2 for 3, and Domenic DeVico went 2-4. Other hits came from Kohl Titzler and Jason Schwartz. Domenic hit in 3 runs, with Kohl and Rollie batting in 2 runs apiece, and Carson Phillips, Matthew Beserra, Ty, Jake, Nathan Nykaza, Colton Sizemore, and James hitting in a run each. Nathan Draves pitched 2 innings with Carson Phillips, James Tullio, and Jesse Storey pitching one inning each. Starting pitcher Carson recorded the win.
Against Montana Wednesday, the bats were out again, with Kohl Titlzer going 2-2, and Rollie Nichols, Colton Sizemore, Domenic DeVico, and Jake Symon going 1-1. Jason Schwartz went 2 for 3 at the plate and Matthew Beserra and Bash Alexiades each hit 1-2. Carson Phillips batted 1-4. Colton drove in 3 runs, with Chris Penna and Jason driving in 2 each. Matthew, Kohl, Bash, Carson, and Domenic each drove in one run in the victory. Jake Symon pitched 3 innings, with other pitchers including Rollie (1+ inning) and Kohl at less than one inning.
The team is in Pool A of the tourney and will take on host team Chino on Friday, July 24 at 6 p.m. Chino beat Montana 10-0 on Tuesday. Win or lose, they will then play in the semi-finals on Sunday, July 26 to see who advances to the championship game.
