Community Invited to Picnic, Free Concert for Special Olympic Athletes

The Special Olympics delegation of athletes and coaches from Hungary was treated to fun in the sun Manhattan Beach-style yesterday by Host Town Manhattan Beach.
The Manhattan Beach community is invited to join Host Town Manhattan Beach and the Rotary Club of Manhattan Beach for a free Picnic in the Park with Special Olympics World Games athletes from Hungary and Nepal tonight (Thursday, July 23) from 5 to 8 p.m. in Polliwog Park.
Longtime MB resident Russ Lesser's band Thin Ice will provide entertainment. Tickets to sit and eat with the delegates (athletes, coaches, etc.) from Hungary and Nepal are sold out however the public is invited to bring their own picnic, blanket, and chairs to join in the fun!
