Team Fletch, Bacchus 900 Club Take 6-Man Open Titles

Two previous winners in the Charlie Saikley 6-Man Beach Volleyball Tournament produced yet another championship as Bacchus 900 Club and Team Fletch and a Stack respectively took the Women's and Men's Open titles Friday.
For Bacchus, whose team includes Carrie Dodd, Nancy Mason-Reynolds, and Leanne McSorley, the championship avenged the team's loss last year to Soho Yoga. That loss put a damper on the ladies championship winning streak (they'd won five titles in a row) but this year they triumphed over Soho Yoga.
For Team Fletch, the victory was a great way to celebrate their 20th anniversary of playing in the tourney. The championship was the team's first since 2006.
In the Men's Masters (players 40 and older) division, Century Club took the title. The team included former NBA star Steve Nash, among other basketball notables.
On Thursday, Sandpipers defeated a team representing El Sombrero to claim the Women's Masters title.
