Team members will be training with the goal of running the Manhattan Beach 10K on October 6. Each team member will commit to raising $500 for the Children’s Bureau.
The team is projected to have about 50 members, but there is no limit and all are welcome.
Members of Team all4kids have also participated in other
activities such as the Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend and LA Marathon.
When runners register to race with Team all4kids, they have the
opportunity to participate in weekly incentive contests and team
parties.
The Manhattan Beach 10K will be in its 41st running this year. It is a non-profit and entirely volunteer-run race, one of the largest of its kind in the country. Since 1904, the Children's Bureau (www.all4kids.org)
has been a nonprofit leader in the prevention and treatment of child
abuse and neglect. More than 34,000 children and families are helped
each year throughout Southern California with services that include
school readiness, parenting classes, family resource centers, support
groups, mental health counseling, foster care and adoption.
The Children’s Bureau is one of the largest investors in child abuse prevention in the country and is developing a national model to transform an entire at-risk community through its Magnolia Community Initiative.
