Four Youth Bands Prepare to Battle

Now that a preliminary competition has wrapped up, four local teen bands have a few weeks to master their skills and their songs.
The Battle of the Bands awaits.
It's an annual rite of passage for up-and-coming youth musicians. At the Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair, a short two-hour window in time will lead to the crowning of just one champion.
Come out Sunday, Oct. 7, at the main stage at the Hometown Fair from 10:00am-12:00pm to see the four finalists and to make your favorite known.
The Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce hosted the initial competition this past week at Mira Costa High School.
All four finalists play guitar-based rock, and half feature female lead guitarists. The bands:
