Sand Castle Contest Draws Kids, Families

Kids and families from around the South Bay gathered on Sunday for a morning of friendly competition of creating sand castles
The 59th annual Sand Castle Design Contest, which is part of the International Surf Festival, is sponsored by the Manhattan Beach Department of Parks and Recreation. Prizes were donated by DigMB.com.
The big winner of the group competition was the Bass family of Redondo Beach with their "shoe" sand sculpture.
Winners in each of the categories received Amazon Echo Dots.
