Dec 02, 2019 01:01PM ● By Jeanne Fratello
It's time to get in the holiday spirit - and see some beautiful homes - at this year's Sandpipers' 27th Annual Holiday Homes Tour. The tour will take place on Friday, December 6 through Sunday, December 8.

The tour is known for its spectacular holiday designs. It will feature four Manhattan Beach
homes that have been decorated and transformed for the holiday season by top local designers, retailers, and florists.

Proceeds from the tour will benefit Sandpipers’ more than 60 local charities as well as individuals and families in need of emergency financial assistance.

“We are thrilled to welcome Los Angeles residents near and far to experience the joy of the holidays in the South Bay," said Natalie Radtke, president of Sandpipers, in a statement. "Whether it’s the decorations, friendships, featured artisans or the stunning homes themselves, the Sandpipers’ Holiday Homes Tour will not only surprise and delight, but raise the resources to support so many in need.”

The Sandpipers’ Holiday Homes Tour annually attracts more than 2,000 patrons. It also garners  support from numerous local businesses and community partners, including Beach Point Capital Management, Manhattan Village, Rockefeller Kempel Architects, Chevron, and Southbay Magazine, among others.

This year’s tour will feature the residence of an entrepreneur, restaurateur, hotelier and philanthropist family that has created a portfolio of successful concepts including Shade Hotels, The Strand House, Rock’N Fish, BrewCo, Rock & Brews, and The Brews Hall.

Also debuting on the tour is the new South Bay franchise of The Bubble Tap Trailer, a vintage camper trailer converted into a mobile party bar serving prosecco and other wine offerings on tap.

The Holiday Homes Tour will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on December 6 and 7; and from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on December 8.

Other attractions from the tour include the Sandpipers Holiday Market & Cafe, which will feature 30 local artisans and restaurants providing a unique shopping and dining experience. The Holiday Market is open to the public Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Neptunian Woman’s Club.

Sandpipers will also host an Ocean View Rooftop Happy Hour event on Saturday, December 7 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 200 Pier Avenue, Hermosa Beach. This special stop on the tour features top local restaurants serving delicious food, beer, and wine.

Throughout the weekend, a free shuttle service will be provided with stops at each of the homes and the Holiday Market & Café on December 6 and 7 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, and limited hours on Sunday.
