Take a #BearHunt Through Manhattan Beach
May 02, 2020 09:13PM ● By Jeanne FratelloLooking for a way to make this time more "bear"-able? Why not take a Manhattan Beach bear hunt?
Across the country, the neighborhood "bear hunt" has become a popular way to keep kids entertained and to show solidarity in the stay-at-home orders. Residents place a stuffed bear in front of their house, and kids (and adults) walk around the neighborhood trying to spot them.
The DigMB family has walked all across Manhattan Beach (seriously - we need new shoes at this point) to find as many bears as we could.
Some bears hang out in the window. A few sit on porches and balconies. We spotted one on a rooftop - and one on a bicycle.
We've included some highlights here. Do you recognize any of these bears' homes?
Just a hint if you're looking for a lot of bears... 6th Street in East Manhattan is a great place to walk. And if you happen to be walking down the 1200 block of 6th Street, there's one house where you'll see a different "bear show" every day.
If you have a bear in front of your house and we missed it, email it to jf [at] digmb [dot] com and we'll add it to our gallery.
