Hair Salons Allowed to Open Indoor Operations at 25% Capacity

Sep 02, 2020 11:00AM ● By Jeanne Fratello
L.A. County Supervisor Janice Hahn announced this morning that LA County’s Health Officer Order will be updated to allow hair salons and barber shops to resume indoor operations at 25% capacity.

Options for increasing capacity will be re-evaluated three weeks after Labor Day, she said.

California Governor Gavin Newsom on Friday had given permission for hair salons to re-open in California. However, Los Angeles County had said it would stick with stricter measures until they had a chance to evaluate the new guidelines. Today's move opens the door for those indoor operations to resume at extremely limited capacity in L.A. County.
