Manhattan Beach: Weigh in On Local Aquatics Facility

Sep 10, 2020 04:41PM ● By Jeanne Fratello
The Beach Cities Health District Office (BCHD) is seeking community input on a potential aquatics facility as part of their proposed Healthy Living Campus master plan, and Manhattan Beach residents are encouraged to weigh in.

Current plans for the site on N. Prospect Avenue in Redondo Beach call for a 220-unit assisted living facility, medical office buildings, a community “Wellness Pavilion” and an enhanced Center for Health & Fitness facility, which would include the potential aquatics center.

BCHD has retained Ballard*King & Associates (B*K) as an aquatic consultant. B*K is working to determine what should be included in an aquatic facility and considerations surrounding the costs associated with operating such a facility.

One component of B*K’s scope of service includes a community survey, which is available until Sunday evening, September 13,  at 6:00 p.m. The survey, which takes about 5-10 minutes to complete, is available at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/BeachCitiesSurvey .

Please take a moment to complete the survey to ensure that BCHD hears viewpoints from all of its community members.
