Include Your Name in Manhattan Beach Pier Photo Book

Sep 28, 2020 08:59AM ● By Mb News Staff
Manhattan Beach residents will cherish a new book by photographer John Post, "A Tribute; Portrait of a Pier through a Lifetime of Photography.”

And from now through October 4, anyone who wants can have their names included in the book for free. To have your name included in the book, go to www.JohnPost.com

According to Post, this will be the first photo book to commemorate the Manhattan Beach Pier.

"This year, the Manhattan Beach Pier is 100 years old, and as the original beach-art-photographer, I have been photographing, and selling images of the pier for 50 years," said Post.

"Like in my other two books, Manhattan Beach Centennial 1912-2012 (2012), and Our South Bay Coastline (2015), I am inviting all locals and this time, lovers of the Manhattan Beach Pier, to be part of Manhattan Beach Pier history and have their names included for free."

Post's prior two books had more than 9,000 names included.

"I like community participation, and this is a chance for those unheralded folks in the community to be name-recognized for posterity and part of Manhattan Beach history," said Post.

Again, the deadline for names to be included is October 4. The publication is slated for mid-November, with delivery in time for Christmas. (Hint: It'll make a great holiday gift.)
