Shade Hotel's Kentucky Derby Party Returns

Put on your fanciest hat and get ready to raise your mint julep, because Shade Hotel's annual Kentucky Derby is back in Manhattan Beach.
Shade's 7th Annual Kentucky Derby Party will be held on May 1 at noon. (Last year's bash was canceled due to COVID-19). Reservation times are available starting at 11:15 a.m. through 4:00 p.m.
This year's bash will look a little different to accommodate social distancing. The event is reservation only, with six
guests maximum per section.
The seating areas will be spread out across the exterior patio, interior lounge, and in the central courtyard. The layout will have socially distanced lounge furniture and
tables with multiple viewing screens, said Jenna Ritter, vice president
of marketing for the Zislis Group, owner of Shade.
Shade's Kentucky Derby Day menu includes (of course) classic mint juleps, and Kentucky mules, Triple Crown Hot Brown sliders, garlic pretzel bites with pimento beer cheese, and more Southern classics.
