Mother's Day is approaching, which means it's time to treat Mom, Grandma - or any of the cherished mother figures and women in your life - to special meals and gifts in Manhattan Beach.

Here's a rundown of local Mother's Day specials:

California Pizza Kitchen: CPK (in the Manhattan Village Mall) will offer heart-shaped pizzas for Mom all day on Sunday, for dine-in or takeout. If you dine in, you'll get a special BOGO reward you can redeem during the following week.

Edo Bites: Edo Bites (at Manhattan Village) is opening on Sunday! Dine at Edo Bites on Sunday and get a free bouquet of flowers for Mom.

Lido di Manhattan Beach: When you dine at Lido on Sunday between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m., Lido will treat Mom to a complimentary mimosa. Reserve your table here.

Love & Salt: Love & Salt is offering a special Brunch & Spa package with Montage Boutique Spa. Order your special Love & Salt "brunch at home" meal and pick up your spa gift card at the same time. The brunch serves four ($125) and the Montage add-on services range from $49 to $165. Order here by noon on Thursday; pick up on Saturday, May 8, between noon and 2:00 p.m.

M & Love Cafe: The cafe will be offering freshly baked gluten-free and vegan Mother's Day pumpkin cupcakes on Saturday. It'll be first come, first served, so get in early.

Pancho's Restaurant: Panchos is featuring Sunday "Brunch de la Playa" from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with an exclusive brunch menu, complimentary Champagne, and fresh fruit and bunuelos. Call 310-545-6670 to reserve a spot.

Pitfire Pizza: Mom deserves to be treated like a goddess, so this is the perfect weekend to treat her to Pitfire Pizza's newest pizza, the Green Goddess. This pizza is topped with a fresh lettuce & herb salad drizzled with Green Goddess dressing and garnished with avocado $15.

RICE: Rice will serve a Mother's Day Premium Sashimi Box on Sunday between noon and 9:00 p.m. Reserve your spot by calling 310-798-7722.

The Strand House: The Strand House has a lovely Mother's Day brunch menu... At the moment reservations are full but you can put yourself on a wait list here.

The Arthur J: Pre-order a Mother's Day brunch with Parker House rolls, tomato-burrata salad, chilled shrimp and blue lump crab salad, truffled free range chicken dumpling pie, sweet pea salad with Nueske's bacon, and lemon vanilla cheesecake. ($175, serves 4. Optional cocktail add-ons available.)

The Source Cafe: The Source is offering a four-layer vanilla bean cake with scratch-made organic strawberry and coconut nectar jam, topped with a dairy-free vanilla bean frosting and handcrafted rose. Call 310-921-8505 to place your order by May 6.
