On Tuesday, a variety of local retailers will be donating a percentage of sales to PFLAG Manhattan Beach/South Bay in honor of Pride Month.
The following retailers are participating in Tuesday's sales event:
Moonshine Sugars (donating proceeds for the entire month of June)
Yoga Loft (donated class proceeds on June 11th)
According to PFLAG MB/SB President Cindy Byrne, each store has chosen its own percentage to donate.
"Shops
were recruited mostly through our involvement with the Manhattan Beach
Chamber of Commerce, the Downtown Manhattan Beach Business Association
and the North End Manhattan Beach business group," Byrne told DigMB.
"Participants each are choosing their own ways to give back to PFLAG
MB/SB and the important work we are doing."
Also
on Tuesday, between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., PFLAG MB/SB will be
hosting the community booth at the Manhattan Beach Farmers Market.
Tuesdays' sale event is one of several efforts by local government and businesses to show support for Pride Month during June.

In the city of Manhattan Beach, the rainbow pride flag flies outside Manhattan Beach City Hall, and the Manhattan Beach Pier will be lit up in rainbow colors from now through June 20. Additionally, many Manhattan Beach and Hermosa Beach storefronts have been decorated to celebrate Pride Month.
