Students Offered Back-to-School Vaccination Opportunity

Manhattan Beach students ages 12 and over who are not yet vaccinated will have another "shot" at a special vaccine clinic on Thursday, August 12 (first dose) and Thursday, September 2 (second dose).

The clinic, offered by the Beach Cities Health District, will run from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. on August 12, and from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on September 2 at the South Bay Adult School, 3401 Inglewood Ave. in Redondo Beach.

You may register for the clinic here. Walk-ups will also be accepted. To register, select “Make an appointment” and enter “90278” in the zip code field – “BCHD at South Bay Adult School - Back to School Clinic - Pfizer - Aug 12 & Sept 2”

Students, school staff member, and their families are all welcome. Identification will be required. Accepted forms of identification include a California ID card or REAL ID card; passport; birth certificate; or any official document that includes the person's name and date of birth, for example, a school record.

Manhattan Beach Teen Vaccination Rate at 83%


According to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, as of August 1, 83 percent of Manhattan Beach children between the ages of 12 and 17 have already received the vaccine.
