After more than a year of virtual productions, the Mira Costa Drama/Tech Department returns to in-person performances on Thursday with an outdoor staging of "Alice in Wonderland."

“Alice in Wonderland" opens tomorrow, Thursday, Oct 14. Friday night's show is sold out, but the show returns again on Friday, Oct. 22, and Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021. (Hint: Dress warm!)

Pre-sale tickets are on sale through October 14 at www.miracostadramaboosters.org. Seating is limited. Ticket prices for general admission are presale $13/door $16. For students and seniors prices are presale $11/door $13.

First-Ever Outdoor Production at Mira Costa

The Drama/Tech Department is thrilled to be back in front of live audiences, in the heart of Costa’s campus, Desiree Brown, VP of Publicity for the Mira Costa Drama Boosters told DigMB.

The production is being staged in Mira Costa's Quad, in the grassy area near the cafeteria. "We will take over that entire area and create an outdoor magical scenario with lights, etc.," Brown told DigMB. "It should be really cool."

The show follows Alice’s tumble down the rabbit hole, as she lands in a magically absurd world where a chronically late rabbit, a Mad Hatter, a Cheshire Cat, and a tyrannical Queen of Hearts test her wits. Will Alice keep her head and escape? Or will she be stuck in Wonderland forever? (And who is that other Alice?)

The show is open to guests of all ages. Please dress accordingly for cool weather outdoors, and follow all safety protocols.
