Goodboybob, a popular Los Angeles-area gourmet coffee shop, is offering free coffee in Manhattan Beach this week in advance of its grand opening on Saturday.

Goodboybob is located at 1300 Highland Ave, in Unit 109 (across from Uncle Bill's).

Baristas will be handing out free coffee on Tuesday and Wednesday from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The store will close on Thursday and Friday in preparation for Saturday's launch.

Goodboybob describes itself as "a legion of proud coffee nerds who put our heart and soul into finding, roasting, and preparing coffee with the highest standards in the world, but not acting all hoity-toity about it."

The Goodboybob team says that it puts "an insane amount of effort" into sourcing the most interesting coffee beans in the world. The shop promises to regularly feature some of the rarest coffees that aren’t available anywhere else in L.A. or in the U.S. All coffee is roasted in-house to guarantee quality and flavor.

The Goodboybob drink menu also offers teas, kombucha, juice, and hot chocolate. If you're looking to grab a quick bite to eat, the menu features avocado toast as well as hearty chapatis (whole wheat breakfast wraps with egg, cheese, and potato and a choice of sausage or bacon).

Once it is fully open, starting this weekend, the shop's regular hours will be from 6:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Monday-Friday; and 7:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

This is the third location for Goodboybob, following its two locations in Santa Monica and Culver City.
