Manhattan Beach's holiday fireworks will return next Sunday, bigger and better than ever, after a year on hiatus due to the pandemic.
“We welcome everyone back for the best year ever,” said MB Fireworks organizer and founder Pete Moffett. “It’s our 33rd celebration of ‘Everyone's Favorite Day of The Year in MB.’”

The Skechers Manhattan Beach Holiday Fireworks, as they are officially known, will launch at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 12.
But the leadup to the fireworks promises to be just as much fun. The Skechers Snow Park will open at 3:00 p.m., featuring five 50-foot snow runs, two snow play areas, and snowmen posed for family photos.
An array of musical performances will begin at 4:00 p.m. The Mira Costa Choir will perform as holiday carolers and the Hyperion Outfall Serenaders will give their rendition of at 4:00 p.m. The Mira Costa High School Jazz Band will perform at 5:00 p.m. and Joe's Band (holiday music sing-along) will perform at 6:00 p.m.
Two important changes to keep in mind for this year:
- The public will be encouraged to sit on the beach as there will be limited seating on Manhattan Beach Boulevard due to the outside dining decks.
- There will be NO seating or access on Manhattan Beach Boulevard west of Manhattan Avenue to the pier due to congestion in the street.
There will be no bounce park this year. Furthermore, as in previous years, no drones will be permitted.
As always, the show is free to the public. Plan to arrive early and allow plenty of time for parking and walking down to the beach. Watch mbfireworks.com for the latest news and updates.
