Donations Sought for Camp Pendleton Mothers and Children

Jan 06, 2022 11:28AM ● By Mb News Staff
The Manhattan Beach Rotary Club and Kinecta Federal Credit Union are collecting donations of new and gently used baby and child items for Camp Pendleton families.

The items in greatest need are diapers, baby and young children's clothing, toys, books, bathtubs, strollers, cribs, dishes, cookware, kitchen items, and Target or Walmart gift cards.

Items will be collected on Saturday, January 8, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Kinecta parking lot at 1440 Rosecrans Ave. in Manhattan Beach.

According to the Rotary Club, there are more than 70,000 Marines at Camp Pendleton, and 10,000 children under the age of five. More than 160 babies are born there every month. With very low income, most Camp Pendleton families do not have what they need for newborns and small children.

The donations will be brought to the "Warrior Warehouse" at the north end of Camp Pendleton, where families will be able to select what they need from among the donations.

For those who wish to make a monetary contribution, donations will be accepted via PayPal to the email address [email protected]
