Does East Manhattan Beach Need Additional Library Services?

The city of Manhattan Beach is exploring whether additional library services are needed to serve the residents of East Manhattan Beach.
Anyone who lives, works, or attends school in Manhattan Beach is invited to take a short online survey about library services found here.
Completed
in 2015, the Manhattan Beach Library is located on Highland Ave. in Downtown Manhattan Beach next to the Manhattan Beach City Hall.
The library facility was built with LEED
GOLD
certification and features sweeping views of the Santa Monica Bay and
Pacific
Ocean. Designed by architecture firm Johnson Favaro, it was a finalist
in two categories of the Architizer A+ Awards: Best Library, and Best
use of Glass in Architecture.
The Manhattan Beach Library is part of the L.A. County public
library system, which has a 7.5 million volume book collection and a
service area extending over 3,000 square miles.
