As Earth Day approaches on April 22, there are a variety of activities you can participate in around Manhattan Beach and in your home to preserve our environment and natural resources.
Ongoing Through April 30
California Reforestation Project: The Manhattan Beach Middle School Grades of Green team is fundraising to reforest
areas of California affected by wildfire and drought. Each dollar
donated to the One Tree Planted fundraiser will plant one tree in
California. Watch their
video to see why trees are so important in protecting our planet and fighting climate change, and then consider
donating to their fundraiser. Anyone who donates $5 or more by April 30 can fill out
this form to be entered into a raffle to win gift certificates to one of two nearby garden shops. See this
flyer (PDF) for additional information.
