Looking for a little crazy fun at the beach this weekend? Look no further than the 6th Annual Supsquatch Surf Invitational hosted by Manhattan Beach's own Nikau Kai. It'll be a friendly competition to see who can do the wildest moves - or simply stay on the board.

The Supsquatch Surf Invitational will take place at the Manhattan Beach Pier on Monday morning, July 4, at about 7:30 a.m. Participants and spectators are welcome.

A Supsquatch is a giant inflatable surfboard-shaped raft that is approximately 16 feet long, 6 1/2 feet wide, and 8 inches thick. You can stand, paddle, and/or surf on it (although beginners are more likely to fall off - which is OK too!).

Nikau Kai will have a few Supsquatches on hand for adventurous surf-lovers to try.

Furthermore, Tandmsurf, a maker of boards for two people to ride waves, has confirmed that they will be bringing boards to share as well. DM @Tandmsurf on Instagram if you want them to bring a board for you to try out.

Note: Looking for other fun experiences over the 4th of July weekend? Build a sandcastle and raise funds for the Roundhouse Aquarium, or join in the Where's Waldo? scavenger hunt downtown.
