With farm-to-table and locally grown foods being all the rage, The Strand House is currently offering Manhattan Beach's most "local" pizza.

The pizza features Croatian figs grown right here in Manhattan Beach by Strand House and Zislis Group owner Michael Zislis.

Zislis' figs are an annual feature on the Strand House menu, according to Jenna Record, vice president of marketing at the Zislis Group. "We feature [fig pizza] every year when figs are in season in late summer," said Record. "The pizza toppings change yearly, but the constant is the gorgeous fresh figs on it."

This year's pizza is topped with Croatian figs, smoked scamorza (an Italian cheese similar to mozzarella), nduja (a spicy Italian pork sausage), walnut rosemary pesto, and honey. 

The pizza will be available starting on Wednesday - but be forewarned: the pizza will only be available until the figs run out.
