Feeling nostalgic for the bygone days of Manhattan Beach? Love & Salt
wants to bring you back, with a special pop-up event featuring dishes from its predecessor, longtime Manhattan Beach favorite Café Pierre.
Love & Salt will host “Je t'aime
Pierre,” on Tuesday, November 29 and Wednesday, November 30. A
special menu will be offered for $110 per person (plus tax and tip) that will feature
French dishes from the original Café Pierre menu.
Reservations can be made through Opentable
. Dinner slots are available between 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.
A Longtime Fixture in Manhattan Beach
Pierre was a longtime fixture in Manhattan Beach, known as a high-end
dining destination when casual restaurants dominated in this beach town.
It was started by owner/chef Guy Gabriele in 1977 to bring a taste of France to Los
Angeles’ South Bay, and was a beloved part of the community for nearly 37 years.
In 2014, Guy and his daughter Sylvie Gabriele closed the restaurant to
bring new life to the iconic space, which is now Love & Salt (with Sylvie Gabriele as owner).
Four-Course Menu Features Classics
The pop-up's four-course menu will include several choices for each course:

Cocktail de Crevettes chilled Georgia white shrimp, smoked cocktail sauce

Lapin à la Moutarde crispy rabbit leg, roasted saddle, shelling bean gratin
