Need some inspiration for holiday spirit? You're in luck, because the Sandpipers' 30th Annual Holiday Homes Tour is coming up this weekend.

The event, which runs from Friday, December 2 through Sunday, December 4, showcases curated and distinctive homes in the South Bay, decorated and transformed by local artisans and florists.

The "Seaside Serenity" house

The event also features a "Holiday Marketplace" located at the Neptunian Woman’s Club in Manhattan Beach. The boutique and cafe will offer shopping and refreshments from local businesses, featuring gourmet food, wine, jewelry, clothing, home décor, and more.

“The Holiday Homes Tour continues to be a wonderful annual tradition for the community,” said tour director Stevi Sterns in a statement. “These beautifully decorated homes allow us a glimpse into amazing architecture and home design, in addition to highlighting local vendors, florists and artisans. The boutique allows guests to discover unique items from local businesses that have generously donated to this event.”

The "Sand Section Sanctuary"

New for this year: All four of the featured homes are within a three-mile radius, making it easy to bike the tour. If you're in need of a bike, there's also a raffle to win a custom Model Y from Beach E Biking.

Also featured this year is a Barbie x Balmain Photo Box from Mattel, which will be on display at the Holiday Marketplace along with additional Barbie experiences. In celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Barbie Dreamhouse, Mattel will "play it forward" with a donation of Holiday Barbies to the Sandpipers donation program.

Note that the addresses of the homes are not given out in advance, but are printed on the ticket.

Tickets can be purchased here for the presale price of $30, with prices rising to $35 starting December 2.

Holiday Homes Tour History

The Holiday Homes Tour, now in its 30th year, attracts more than 2,000 visitors annually. It is a major fundraiser for the Sandpipers: In 2021, the Holiday Homes Tour raised over $130,000 for Sandpipers' philanthropic programs.

This year's sponsors include Chevron, Porsche South Bay, Southbay Magazine, Tiffany Lauer Interiors, Mommy Assist, Jen Caskey Group, South Bay Credit Union and Manhattan Village.

Sandpipers is a 100% volunteer organization celebrating more than 90 years of service. Sandpipers serves the needs of the South Bay community through charitable and philanthropic programs such as Back to School Shopping, Holiday Baskets, college scholarships and community service. Sandpipers Philanthropy has contributed more than $1 million and thousands of community service hours to individuals and local non-profits in need. For more information, visit www.sandpipers.org.
