The Manhattan Beach Holiday Fireworks will take place at 7:00 on Sunday night, rain or shine. Here's what you need to know about the event:

Rain or Shine: Yes, you read that right, rain or shine. Right now, rain is kinda-sorta-maybe in the forecast for 7:00 p.m. but the show will go on. The fireworks team has extra tarps to cover up the goods, so they will be ready to go at showtime.

Snow Park Moved to Live Oak Park: The Skechers Snow Park and Bounce Park will take place at Live Oak Park. This change was made to give more room to "provide more space, safety, and flexibility," according to the city and police. The parking lot directly west of Shellback Tavern on Ocean Ave. will now be open for more blanket seating for the fireworks. Furthermore, there will be no band shell or live bands on Manhattan Beach Blvd. (For Skechers Snow Park admission, bring unwrapped toys, canned food, or cash to donate to the YMCA Adventure Guides charity.

Blanket Seating: Blanket seating for the fireworks will open up sometime between 2:30 and 4:30 p.m. Manhattan Beach Police and Fire Departments will decide when it is safe for the public to spread their blankets in the street. Event organizers ask attendees to please cooperate with the police, they have their hands full and are only trying to avoid any issues or problems. Blanket sizes should be for one party of 10 at most. Please be a good neighbor and try not try to mark off huge spaces so everyone can have a good view of the show.

No Drones Allowed: No drones will be permitted due to safety concerns.

Pick Up Your Trash: Here's a plea from all of our friends at various beach organizations: Please pick up your trash afterwards. Let's keep our beach clean to allow everyone to enjoy it and to protect our beach creatures from harm.
