Dune Restoration, Friday, August 25

Come volunteer to help The Bay Foundation remove non-native iceplant from the dunes along the Strand in Manhattan Beach. This project will evaluate a living restored shoreline with a diverse plant and wildlife community as an approach to increase coastal resiliency. The California State Coastal Conservancy is fully funding this project through the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund and California Climate Investments, which are programs that put cap and trade dollars to work. (See more information on the dune restoration project here.)
