A helicopter search on Wednesday afternoon ended up snagging yet another suspect in the area between 6th and 8th Streets and Sepulveda. The suspect had been involved in a robbery at the Macy's in Manhattan Village before being spotted in the neighborhood.

Wednesday's incident follows an incident just ten days earlier on November 19, when a helicopter search in the same neighborhood resulted in the capture of a Hermosa Beach burglary suspect.

The Manhattan Beach Police Department described the November 29 incident as follows:

"[At] 12:15 p.m. officers responded to Macy’s regarding a robbery that just occurred. The suspect pushed security as he fled the location. At 1:00 p.m., officers located the suspect in the area of 8th Street and Sepulveda. The suspect ran from officers into the nearby neighborhood. Officers established a perimeter and with the assistance of outside agencies including an LAPD helicopter the suspect was found and arrested for robbery as well as other charges."

MBPD received assistance from El Segundo, Gardena, Hawthorne, and Hermosa Beach police, in addition to the LAPD helicopter.

Neighbors received an all-clear alert shortly after the suspect was captured.
