Calling all local artists: Manhattan Beach seeking submissions for its Annual Community Exhibition. And now's the time to get rolling on it; applications will only be open through June 3.

The Annual Community Exhibition is open to all - young and old - with preference given to artists with close ties to the Manhattan Beach community. There is no special theme this year, so you can feel free to submit any work.

This popular exhibition often draws many submissions. Last year, exhibition organizers received a total of 217 submissions from across town, according to Eric Brinkman, the city's Cultural Arts supervisor.

The exhibition will be on view from July 26 through October 6, 2024. The Manhattan Beach Art Center gallery is open Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.; and on Fridays and Saturdays from from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission is free.
