Got great park photos? There's still time to enter the Manhattan Beach Department of Parks and Recreation "Parks Make Life Better" photo contest. This year's theme is "Where You Belong."
Here's the deal: In honor of National Park and Recreation Month, community members are invited to submit photographs from any of the city's parks, including Veterans Parkway, Live Oak Park, Manhattan Heights Park, Marine Avenue Park, Polliwog Park, Sand Dune Park, Bruce’s Beach, 8th Street Parkette, Larsson Street Parkette, and Manhattan Village Park.
(In other words, this is not a beach sunset photo contest.)
Submit your images at www.manhattanbeach.gov/photocontest with the entry
name, your name, phone, email, where the photo was taken, consent
for photo to be used by the city on website, social and other channels. The deadline is July 31. There is a five photo submission limit per person.
There are three age categories: 13-17, 18-54, and 55 and over.
Judges will include "local dignitaries and professionals." The top submissions will be highlighted on the city’s social media channels and website and will receive prizes including Manhattan Beach gear.
