First-Ever Manhattan Beach Food & Wine Festival Announces Lineup

Founders and chefs celebrated the launch of the festival this week. The first-even Manhattan Beach Food & Wine Festival, slated for October 11 and 12, has announced its official lineup of star-studded chefs from across North America. 

The event will be a two-night "strolling culinary extravaganza" as participants sample special preparations from top-rated chefs and restaurants, wineries, spirits, and craft breweries; along with live entertainment.

The chefs represent local restaurants from Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, El Segundo, and Los Angeles; as well as more far-flung destinations including New York, San Francisco, New Orleans, Denver, Solvang, Palm Springs, Vancouver, and Mexico. Chefs include:

The festival will be held at Manhattan Village in a 40,000-square-foot outdoor space located at the end of the Veterans Parkway Greenbelt. Guests may walk or bike to the event along the Greenbelt, or take advantage of complimentary parking at Manhattan Village.

Event founders are Shelby Russell and Neal Fraser. Founding partners include Delta Airlines, westdrift Manhattan Beach, La Brea Bakery, and Manhattan Village.

The event's beneficiary will be Careers through Culinary Arts Program (C-CAP). Co-chaired by chef Marcus Samuelsson, C-CAP is a workforce development nonprofit that provides underserved teens pathways to pursue careers in the restaurant and hospitality industry. C-CAP provides culinary, job and life skills in 186 schools across the United States across the entire state of Arizona, as well as in Baltimore, Camden, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, New York City & Long Island, Newark, Philadelphia, suburban Maryland, and Washington DC.

Each night of the festival, a VIP Power Hour will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and regular admission will be from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Tickets are on sale now at www.ManhattanBeachFoodandWine.com. Early bird pricing, currently in effect, is $275 plus fees for regular admission and $425 plus fees for VIP admission (prices apply to either night).
