We've said before that nobody does Halloween like Manhattan Beach... and this year we have 12 days of Halloween prove it.

That's right; from October 19 through October 31, you've got a dozen days' worth of spooky fall activities.

What's new for this year? On Sunday while you're waiting for your turn at the pumpkin race, you can check out the new "Pumpkin Patch" at Metlox Plaza.

The first annual Pumpkin Patch will basically be a big party for kids and families. There will be a professional photographer with a fall background, Halloween inflatables for selfies, free pumpkins to decorate, free games and prizes, a fun kids' DJ, and trick-or-treating at 28 local businesses.

"It's meant to help parents spread out the fun of the day," said Jill Lamkin, executive director of the Downtown Manhattan Beach Business & Professionals Association. "While you're waiting for your race time, or after you’ve raced your pumpkin, you can head up to Metlox for extra fall fun."
