Sandpipers Holiday Homes Tour To Be Held This Weekend

Dec 01, 2024 07:12PM ● By Mb News Staff
It's time once again to view spectacular holiday homes - for a good cause. The Sandpipers organization will host its 32nd Annual Holiday Homes Tour event from Friday through Sunday, December 6-8. The tour will showcase three homes in the South Bay that are decorated for the holidays by local artisans and florists.

In addition to the home tour, all community members can visit a holiday marketplace boutique and cafe located at the Neptunian Woman's Club in Manhattan Beach throughout the weekend. The boutique and cafe will offer shopping and refreshments from local businesses, featuring gourmet food, wine, jewelry, clothing, and home décor for holiday gifts.

Tickets can be purchased in advance for $40 here, or for $45 on the weekend of the event. No tickets are needed for the holiday marketplace and cafe. Proceeds from the tour benefit Sandpipers' charitable programs and 25% of the purchases from the holiday market go back to Sandpipers.

Tour hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Sunday (with the marketplace staying open until 2:00 p.m.)

Directions to the homes will be given to tour-goers upon confirmation of ticket purchase. All tour-goers over the age of five will need a ticket; guests ages five and under need to be carried or hand-held throughout the tour.

About the Holiday Homes Tour

The Holiday Homes Tour attracts more than 2,500 visitors every year and garners support from local businesses and community partners, including this year’s sponsors: Chevron, South Bay Plastic Surgeons, Cerity Partners, Porsche South Bay, and Southbay Magazine. The cafe is sponsored by Wild Fork.

In 2023, the Holiday Homes Tour raised over $140,000 for Sandpipers' philanthropic programs through this fundraiser.

Sandpipers is a 100% volunteer organization dedicated to serving the needs of the South Bay community through charitable and philanthropic programs. Established in 1931, Sandpipers has been providing assistance to individuals and families in need in the South Bay community for nearly a century.

Over the past five years, Sandpipers has raised and distributed more than $2.5 million dollars and has contributed thousands of community service hours to the 65+ local agencies that it supports. The revenue raised from community fundraiser events like the annual Holiday Homes Tour helps to support Sandpipers’ programs including Emergency Casework, the Back-to-School shopping program, Holiday Baskets, the Four-Year College Scholarship Program, and  Community Grants.
