Serve on a Commission
Want to have an even bigger (in-person) impact? Here's your chance to serve on one of Manhattan Beach's boards or commissions. Currently, there are several seats open: :
- Cultural Arts Commission
3 Seats (2 Member-At-Large, 1 Student Representative)
- Library Commission
3 Seats (2 Member-At-Large, 1 Student Representative)
- Parks and Recreation Commission
3 Seats (2 Member-At-Large, 1 Student Representative
Applications are due on April 11. Board and commission interviews will be conducted during the City Council meeting on Tuesday, April 22. Find more information and apply here.
Add Your Opinion on Tennis Court Restriping
The tennis courts at Manhattan Heights Park are scheduled for
resurfacing this March, and the Parks and Recreation Department is contemplating the
addition of new lines on Court #2 to accommodate four pickleball
courts, much like those on Court #1.

Design a Utility Box
The Utility Box Beautification Project is a public art program designed
to transform common traffic control utility boxes into distinctive works
of art, by inviting local residents to contribute their designs.

The city has put out a call for artists to design artwork for a new round of utility boxes. Learn more about how to apply here.
