Earn Prizes for Participating in Earth Month Activities

- Get your stamp card: Download the Earth Month Stamp Card (PDF) and print this card or pick up a physical card at the City Hall front desk (tip: if you see the Earth Day Celebration flyer around town, the stamp card is also printed on the back!)
- Attend events or participate in the activities below and get your card stamped/stickered/initialed by event/activity staff: You may receive credit for attending multiple dates of the same opportunity (for example: visiting the Roundhouse Aquarium or volunteering at the Manhattan Beach Botanical Garden on multiple days).
- Redeem your prize: Bring your stamp card and pick up your prize at the Environmental Sustainability booth during the City's Earth Day Celebration on April 29 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Can't make it to the event? Beginning May 1, bring your stamp card and pick up your prize at the City Hall front desk (while supplies last).
Earth Month Activities
EVERY FRIDAY, 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM - Volunteer at the Manhattan Beach Botanical Garden. Registration not required.
EVERY TUESDAY, 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM - Attend the Manhattan Beach Farmers Market for fresh produce and local goods. Visit the Downtown Manhattan Beach Business Association booth to get your card stamped/initialed.
ALL MONTH LONG - Visit the Roundhouse Aquarium Monday through Friday 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Saturday through Sunday 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
ALL MONTH LONG - Participate in Go Gently Nation's month-long Children's Earth Day Checklist activity. Complete the checklist and pick from their eco toys treasure basket. Download and print the check list (PDF) or pick up a physical copy at Go Gently Nation, 1201 Manhattan Avenue.
ALL MONTH LONG - Check out an environmentally-themed book at the Manhattan Beach Library. Any book about the environment, climate, nature, animals, plants, insects, etc.
APRIL 17, 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM - Attend the Ollie the Otter Saves the Reef reading at the Manhattan Beach Library, followed by fun crafts and games that teach kids about ocean conservation. Families, teens, and kids are all welcome (ages 5-17).
APRIL 19, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM - Attend the free and family-friendly event called Keep it Green, Keep it Clean Earth Day Celebration at the Roundhouse Aquarium. Visit the City's Environmental Sustainability booth for your stamp.
APRIL 26, 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM - Attend the Nature Connections to Literature workshop at the Manhattan Beach Library (ages 5-12). Learn about some of the animals in your favorite children's books and get a chance to interact with live animals! Space is limited - RSVP here.
APRIL 26, 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM - Attend the Container Gardening workshop at the Manhattan Beach Library (adults). Space is limited - RSVP here.
APRIL 29, 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM - Attend the City of Manhattan Beach Earth Day Celebration event. Get a stamp for each booth you visit.
APRIL 29, 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM - View the Ocean Protection Film Screening at the Earth Day Celebration event.
APRIL 30, 10:15 AM to 10:45 AM - Attend Toddler and Me Yoga at the Manhattan Beach Library. All experience levels welcome; designed for children ages 0-3 with their parent or caregiver. Space is limited - RSVP here.
