Tickets are now on sale for the popular TEDx Manhattan Beach event, which will feature ten unique speakers presenting thought-provoking and world-changing ideas. The event will be held on November 15 at Mira Costa High School.  

TEDx Manhattan Beach is one of the most popular local TED events in the country. Now in its 18th year, the event has hosted more than 16,000 people and its talks have garnered more than 35 million views on YouTube. 

Tickets for the November 15 event include breakfast, lunch, and a day's worth of talks and interactive experiences. Regular admission prices begin at $86.14, an early-bird price that lasts through October 21. Tickets students and seniors (age 65 and over) are $54.13.

This year's TEDx Manhattan Beach speakers include: 

Jason Achilles - a composer and "sonic innovator" who captured the first recorded sounds from Mars;

Trupti Bhoir - an award-winning film producer and grassroots activist;

Nonny de la Peña - a multidimensional storyteller known as the “Godmother of Virtual Reality;”

Neena Haider - a physician and researcher who has pioneered novel gene therapies;

James Merrill - a recycling technology pioneer who transforms discarded PET bottles into high-quality, sustainable plastic pellets;

Zoe Nicols - a Mira Costa senior who is a food equity educator and activist;

Gabriela Nguyen - the founder of a global social movement challenging the need for social media;
