Prepare for Lane Shutdowns at Major Manhattan Beach Intersection
Nov 15, 2025 01:23PM ● By MB News Staff
Two out of four traffic lanes will be shut down starting on Monday, November 17, on Manhattan Beach Blvd. at Sepulveda, one of Manhattan Beach's biggest intersections.
The lane closures will be in effect while SoCalGas and its subcontractor, SE
Pipeline, complete a gas line repair. The affected lanes are the two center lanes along westbound Manhattan Beach Boulevard between Magnolia
Avenue and Sepulveda Boulevard.
This mandatory safety work is a
follow-up repair stemming from a prior emergency leak repair. It involves replacing a segment of steel
pipeline located on the east side of the intersection. The permit was
approved, including approval of the Traffic Control Plan. Digital message signs have been installed
at Peck Avenue and Redondo Avenue to provide advance notice to the
traveling public.
The repair work and associated traffic control measures will take place Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
No construction will take place on November 27 or 28 (in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday).
This gas line work is anticipated to be completed by the end
of November, weather permitting.
