Free Holiday Parking Has Begun in Manhattan Beach

Manhattan Beach's tradition of free parking for the holidays has begun.
Street parking meters and
meters in city-owned parking lots across town will be "red-bagged," meaning two-hour parking is free, from now through December 25.
Two things to keep in mind about the holiday parking:
1) Although parking in spots with a red-bagged meter is free, if you stay longer than the posted
maximum time, you are subject to a parking ticket.
2) The state-owned
meters at the Manhattan Beach Pier, as well as the county-owned meters
at the El Porto beach/26th Street parking lots, are not included in the
meter bagging. Do not assume that parking is free unless you specifically see a red bag on the meter.
