What should be on the list of budget priorities for the city Manhattan Beach? Here's your chance to weigh in: Manhattan Beach is currently hosting the Your City, Your Voice budget survey, from now through February 14.
Whether your priorities are parks and playgrounds, cultural arts, public safety, or protecting the environment, your feedback will help guide important decisions as the city plans its budget for the year ahead.
All are welcome to submit the survey: residents, business owners, community members, and visitors.
Manhattan Beach City Budget
For 2025-26, the city's operating budget expenditures of $151.2 million included a wide range of programs and initiatives, including Public Safety, Public Works, Community Development, Environmental Sustainability, and support services such as Management Services, Finance, Human Resources, and Information Technology.
Capital budget expenditures totaling $30.9 million involved the acquisition and maintenance of capital assets, including capital improvement projects and the purchase of equipment and furniture. The city also had expenditures of $10.9 million for payment of principal and interest on current and anticipated bond issues.
In May, the city will present its proposed Operating Budget for FY 2026-2027 and the Five Year Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) for fiscal years 2026-2027 through 2030-2031. These initial presentations will be
followed by customary study sessions before the FY 2026-2027 Budget and CIP is officially adopted in June 2026.
