The 2026 Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair is currently seeking new board members who are interested in supporting and shaping the future of the annual Hometown Fair.

This year's fair will be held on October 3 and 4.

Board members play a key role in planning, organizing, and supporting fair activities that bring the community together. The fair is looking for individuals who are enthusiastic, collaborative, and willing to contribute their time, ideas, and skills. Prior board experience is not required; just a genuine interest in helping make the fair a success.

Currently, the fair is recruiting for the following roles:

·       Merchandise

·       Volunteers

·       Community Showcase

·       Beer Garden

·       Kid Country

·       Traffic & Safety

·       Community Relations

Community members from all backgrounds are encouraged to get involved and continue this long-standing tradition. Manhattan Beach residents and business owners receive the highest priority.

To learn more, contact [email protected] and visit the Hometown Fair application page. Applications are due by March 1.

The Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair, created in 1972, is a free event and a fully volunteer-run, nonprofit venture. Attractions include live music and dance stages, special rides and shows in Kid Country, more than 200 arts and crafts booths from local artisans, art and music showcases at Joslyn Center, and food and game booths that raise money for 70+ local civic and booster organizations. Proceeds from the fair are donated back to the community
